We rent everything from compact vans that drive like a car to full-size family motorhomes — across Europe, North America and Oceania — plus vehicles from private hosts in our Marketplace. The right one for you comes down to a few simple questions, below.
The main types
Our vehicles broadly fall into a few groups:
- Campervans — compact and the easiest to drive and park, including in cities. Sleep up to around 4. A great fit for couples and small groups who want to stay nimble.
- Motorhomes (Class B) — van-based but roomier inside, with more living and storage space. Sleep up to around 4–5.
- Motorhomes (Class C) — full-size, with the most beds and living space (often a bed over the cab). Sleep up to around 6–7 — built for families and larger groups.
- Adventure vehicles — a car paired with a rooftop tent: the lightest, most agile option for travellers who want to cover ground and pack light. These don't have the built-in indoor living space of the larger vans.
Within these, vehicles also come in different comfort tiers — for example, fridges and features in the Comfort range offer more than those in the Active range — so you can match the level of on-board comfort to your trip.
How to choose the right one
A few questions narrow it down fast:
- How many are travelling and sleeping? This is the biggest factor — match the sleeping capacity to your group, with a little room to spare.
- Where will you drive? Tight city streets and small car parks favour a compact campervan; long open-road trips suit a larger motorhome.
- Which amenities matter? If you want an on-board toilet, shower, kitchen or indoor heating, look to the built vans rather than the rooftop-tent option.
- Where are you renting? The line-up varies by region — Europe, North America and Oceania each have their own models.
- Indie fleet or Marketplace? Alongside our own vehicles, private and professional hosts offer their own in our Marketplace, which widens your choice.
