Each country has its own set of laws on where and when snow chains are needed. For countries like Austria and Croatia, snow chains are only required when winter tires are not installed on the vehicle. At Indie Campers we always make sure that our campervans meet local laws and regulations, and snow chains will either be already installed or provided in locations where they are mandated by law. If you are travelling from a non-mandatory location to a mandatory location regarding winter tires, be sure to share your itinerary with us so we can help you the best possible way. For the most up-to-date information, please visit the official country website.
