At Indie Campers, booking your campervan trip is simple. You can follow these steps to book your trip straight away, or save a trip tailored to your needs (destination, dates, model) in your client area for 72H.
This article covers bookings for our own fleet and our sister brands. Privately owned vehicles listed by hosts follow a different process, explained in Step 2 below.

Step 1: Search
Navigate to the website's main page.
Use the search bar at the top to select your desired pick-up location and the start and end dates of your trip.
If you wish to pick up and drop off the van in different cities, tick the box that says "End in a different location".
Click Search to proceed.
A note on one-way trips
Thanks to our many locations across North America, Europe and Oceania, there is a lot of flexibility for one-way trips. However, some countries have regulatory and logistical constraints, so certain pick-up and drop-off combinations are geo-restricted. If a campervan is not allowed to be dropped off in a specific location based on your chosen pick-up location, that option simply won't appear in the search.
Step 2: Choose your campervan
After clicking search, you will see a page displaying the campervans available for your selected dates and locations. You can use the filters to narrow the search down to your individual needs (manual transmission, WC, shower, etc.).
Our own vehicles appear at the top of the page. Browse them to review the basic features, passenger capacity, included mileage and price of each camper. If a specific model is not available for your exact dates, you will see suggested dates further down the page, based on that model's availability, for your consideration.
Our sister brands may also appear, depending on your travel location. These are brands that are part of the Indie Campers group, for example Just Go and Bunk Campers in various locations across the UK. Their vehicles may differ slightly in features, but when booked through the Indie Campers website, the add-ons and protection plans are very similar, if not the same.
You may also see Marketplace campervans, which are privately owned vehicles listed by hosts. Those bookings work differently and are explained in How to book a Marketplace campervan.

Step 3: Make your booking
Once you have selected a camper that suits your needs, you will arrive at its offer page. Here you can view detailed vehicle specifications, rules, and optional extras. The page will present you with 2 options: Save and Continue.
To book, click "Continue" to start the booking process
You will be led through the following sections:
- Your information: your basic details;
- Pick-up Information: pick-up location, date and time;
- Drop-off Information: drop-off location, date and time;
- Protection Plan: pick your protection plan;
- Extras: select your extras;
- Distance Package: select your mileage package, where applicable*;
- Cancellation Options: choose the cancellation policy that suits you best;
- Payment Option: pay for your booking.
*We are currently offering an unlimited mileage package, subject to our responsible usage policy.
Payment: if you select Flexible Cancellation, you can pay 50% of your booking at the time of booking, and the remaining 50% is charged 30 days before your trip. With any other cancellation option, and whenever your pick-up date is less than 30 days away, the full 100% is required at the time of booking.
Upon successful payment, you will receive a confirmation email with your booking details.
To "save" your trip and book at a later moment
If you need some time to think about your dream trip, the Save option will keep your personalized trip for 72H in your client area, under Saved Trips.
- Unfortunately, we are unable to accept bookings for the next day, as our team needs time to prepare your vehicle. If your desired dates are not available, it means the campervan is already booked. We encourage you to experiment with different dates, models, and locations on our website to find your ideal setup.
- Indie Campers will request official documentation for a successful pick-up. You can review the required documentation in Essential Documents and Depot Procedures for Pick-Up.
- More than one booking is allowed per email, provided the bookings are for different dates.
