Before you lock in a route
The itineraries are built to inspire, not to reflect your specific booking — so a couple of quick checks turn a nice-looking route into one that actually works for your trip:
- One-way or return? Many itineraries start and end in different cities. If your pick-up and drop-off locations aren't the same, a one-way fee may apply — check before you book.
- Does the distance fit your mileage? Add up the itinerary's total distance and compare it to the mileage included in your booking, so you're not caught out mid-trip. (See: Mileage policy)
- Crossing a border? Some routes pass through more than one country. Confirm that cross-border travel is allowed on your booking and check any conditions first.
- Match the route to your rental length. The suggested durations are guidelines — a relaxed pace beats racing to tick off stops. If a route needs more days than you've booked, either trim it or extend your rental.
💡 Tip — Pick the itinerary closest to your actual pick-up location first, then adjust. Starting from where your van is saves a long repositioning drive on day one.
