License Requirements:
- General Requirement: A valid driving license is required to operate our campervans.
- International Driving Permit (IDP):
- Europe: Travelers with a European driver's license do not need an IDP.
- Non-European Citizens:
- In certain countries, such as Italy, Austria, and Greece, non-European citizens must possess an IDP in addition to their home country’s driver's license.
- It's the traveler's responsibility to verify and obtain any necessary permits for their travel destinations.
- Important Considerations:
- Indie Campers does not assist in obtaining IDPs.
- Ensure your driver's license is valid for the vehicle's transmission type (automatic or manual).
- Verify with local traffic authorities or consulates regarding the validity of your driver's license in your travel destination.
Age Requirements:
- Europe: Minimum age is 18 years for short- and medium-term rentals.
- United States, Canada, and Australia: Minimum age is 21 years.
- Drivers Under 25:
- Must select the Basic Protection plan.
- Not eligible for the Premium Protection plan.
For Marketplace bookings
- License Requirements: Same as above.
- Age Requirements:
- Hosts may set different minimum age requirements.
