Airbag Warning Lamp

Also known as the supplemental restraint system (SRS) warning light.

If the lights stays on, that means there is a problem with your airbag system and it needs service immediately. Additionally, you may see a message in your instrument panel if the airbag system needs service. 

The light will flash when you turn you vehicle on. It lets you know if the front passenger airbag is on or off. If both the ON and OFF icons are lit, tat means the passenger airbag system may need service.

• Airbag module fault.
• Airbag crash sensors damaged often due to a collusion or water damage.
• Problems with seat belt / buckle.
• Airbag clock spring.
• Wiring under the seats dislodged.

ABS Warning Lamp

Also know as ABS (Anti-lock Braking system) is an add-on safety system to the van’s regular brakes.

This light will flash when you turn the vehicle ON. If the light comes ON while driving, it means the vehicle needs service.

If ABS is the only light in your panel, the regular brakes are working, but the ABS is not.

If it comes on with the brake warning light , it could indicate that the brake system is failing and you should stop straight away and get in touch with roadside assistance.

You will see this light if you turn your 4WD front axle lock ON, since that disables ABS.

ABS helps to prevent the wheels from locking when under hard braking. If ABS fails, normal brakes are unaffected, though they operate without ABS. The most common cause for ABS warning light is a damaged wheel speed sensor. Diagnostics and fault code scanning should determine the malfunction.

Can I still drive with my ABS Warning Lamp ON?

If the ABS light comes on by itself you should still have normal, unassisted braking, so it's safe to continue your journey – but keep your distance, take extra care, and get it checked as soon as possible. 

Also known as Door(s) open warning lamp

It illuminates when you switch the ignition on and remains on if any door or the hood is open.

It is a safety indicator on your vehicle's dashboard that alerts you when one or more doors are not fully closed. It may illuminate when any door, including the driver's side, passenger side, or even the trunk or hatch, is slightly ajar.

Can I still drive with my Door Ajar Warning Lamp ON?

Even if the door seems closed, it might not be fully engaged, which can lead to safety concerns such as the door opening while the vehicle is in motion or the car's security system being compromised. If the light is on while you're driving, you should pull over and check all doors to ensure they are properly shut.

Also known as the brake system warning light, parking brake warning light or brake fluid warning light.

The word BRAKE will flash in your dashboard when you turn your vehicle on to show you that the light is working. If the light comes on or stays on, it means there is a problem with your vehicle brakes. This light can also mean that your break fluid is low.

If the ABS warning light is also illuminated, this signals that the braking system has malfunctioned and your brakes may not work properly.

If you are driving when the light comes ON, pull over as soon as it is safe to do so and stop carefully. Your vehicle speed may be limited when this light is ON and the brake pedal may be harder to push. It may also take longer to stop. If the light stays ON once you stop, have the vehicle towed and checked immediately.

When the word PARK lights up in your instrument panel, it means the vehicle has an electric park brake and it is ON.

If the light stays ON or flashes after you turn the Electric Parking Brake OFF, that means there is a problem with the system.

If his light stays ON, it means the Electric Parking Brake (if equipped) needs service. The light will flash when you turn your vehicle ON, to test the bulb. Other features, such as AUTOHOLD may not be working if this light is ON.

Can I still drive with my Parking Brake Warning Lamp ON?

Pull over and stop as soon as it’s safe to do so - keep your speed low and avoid braking suddenly. If the light goes out after you stopped the vehicle there should be no problem. As brake pads wear, fluid levels fall but equally. If the problem persists please get in touch with roadside assistance.

Engine Coolant Temperature Warning Light

Also known as the coolant temperature car warning light.

This light will briefly come on when you start your vehicle and then turn OFF,

This will illuminate when the engine is overheating. This could mean that coolant levels are running low, perhaps due to a leak in the system, or it could be a sign of a larger problem, like a head gasket failure.

Can I still drive with my Engine Coolant Overheating Warning Lamp ON?

If this light is ON you should stop straight away, as without enough coolant your engine will have irreparable damage.

Check that coolant levels are not below the MIN. mark on the reservoir tank. If topping up, allow time for the coolant to cool before removing the cap.

While you’re under the hood, have a look to see if there are any obvious leaks. If you can’t see any and the light goes off after topping up then you should be fine to continue your journey. If the light comes back on again after topping up please stop the vehicle and get in touch with roadside assistance.

 Engine Oil Pressure Light

Also known as the low engine oil or low oil pressure light.

This light will come ON when you turn your engine ON.

The oil warning light comes on when either the oil temperature gets too high or the oil level or pressure is too low. If the oil is not lubricating the engine effectively it could lead to expensive or even irreparable engine damage, so it’s important to act quickly.

If the light comes ON while you are driving, pull over and turn the engine OFF as soon as it is safe to do so.

Restart the vehicle and if the light stays ON for more than 10 seconds, turn the vehicle back OFF and DO NOT restart it.

Can I still drive with the Engine Oil Pressure Warning Lamp ON?

When this light comes on you should stop as soon as possible and turn off the engine. Have a look for any obvious oil leaks under the car, and then check the oil levels, topping up if necessary.

If the oil levels are fine, then the oil pump may be faulty. In this case get in touch with Roadside assistance.

While you’re under the hood, have a look to see if there are any obvious leaks. If you can’t see any and the light goes off after topping up then you should be fine to continue your journey.

Check Engine Light

Also known as the Malfunction Indicator Lamp or ECU warning light.

When the engine management light is illuminated it’s often accompanied by tell-tale signs that the engine is not working properly, such as a lack of power or stuttering as you press the accelerator.

This light could indicate a number of faults related to your Engine or propulsion system, from minor issues like a broken electrical sensor to a much larger mechanical issue, like a fault with your emission control system or catalytic converter.

If it illuminates when the engine is running this indicates a malfunction. If it flashes, engine misfire may be occurring. Increased exhaust gas temperatures could damage the diesel particulate filter or other vehicle components. Avoid heavy acceleration and deceleration.

AEB Disabled Light

You will only see this icon if your vehicle has AEB or Enhanced AEB, to let you know automatic breaking is turned off, with "Alert Only" or "OFF" mode selected in your settings menu.

For this light to disappear, turn automatic braking back on by changing your forward collision settings to "Alert and Brake".

Forward Collision Alert Warning Light

If this light is green, it means Forward Collision Alert detects a vehicle is ahead of you.

If the light is orange / amber, it means you may be tailgating the vehicle ahead. You should slow down and allow some distance between you and the vehicle ahead and the light will flash green.

If you don't want to see these alerts, you can turn Forward Collision Alert OFF either in your settings menu or using your steering wheel controls.

Pedestrian Ahead Indicator

Also known as Front pedestrian braking or front pedestrian and bicyclist features.

It will light up when one of those features has detected a pedestrian ahead of your vehicle.

The icon will disappear once your vehicle stops detecting pedestrians ahead.

Can I still drive with the Pre-Collision Assist Warning Lamp ON?

If the light stays on, it is still possible to drive the vehicle, but the safety features related to collision avoidance will not be active, leaving you without automatic braking or collision warning functions. While the car can still be driven, it is still important to address the situation, especially since the pre-collision system is designed to help avoid or mitigate accidents.

Tire Pressure Light

Tire pressure monitoring systems let you know when the pressure falls. This could happen over time or it could be because of a puncture.

This light will flash when you start your vehicle, to test the bulb.

If the light stays ON, it means one or more of your tires is significantly underinflated.

If it does not illuminate when you switch the ignition on, or flashes when the engine is running, this indicates a malfunction.

Can I still drive with my tire pressure Warning Lamp ON?

Yes, but you should drive with extra care and aim to top up with air at the next opportunity. Low tire pressure can cause unsafe driving conditions so reduce your speed, and try to avoid braking suddenly or making any violent steering maneuvers.

Most petrol stations and garages will have an air compressor you can use to check your tire pressure. Top up the air in the tires according to the vehicle manufacturer specification in your owner's manual.

Traction Control / Electronic Stability Control (ESC) Light

Electronic Stability Control OFF Light 

Also known as Electronic Stability Control (ESC)

Traction Control Light

This light will flash when you turn the system ON, to ensure the bulb is functioning properly. If the light is flashing, it means the TCS / ESC system is actively working – for example, if you’re driving on a slippery road.

If the light is ON and NOT flashing, there may be a problem with the TCS / ESC systems and they may not be able to help you maintain control of your vehicle. 

Traction OFF Light

This light will flash when you turn your vehicle ON.

You will see this light if you turn the Traction Control System (TCS) OFF. If you turn OFF StabiliTrak / Electronic Stability Control (ESC), it will also turn TCS off. 

If you didn't mean to turn those features OFF, press the TCS/ESC button in your vehicle. You may have to turn them back on through the infotainment system.

ESC OFF Light

This light will flash when you turn your vehicle ON.

If the light comes on while you are driving, it means the ESC system is and the TCS are both OFF.

You should only see this light if you chose to switch both systems OFF.

Can I still drive with my Electronic Stability Warning Lamp ON?

To check, try stopping and restarting the engine. If the light remains on after restarting get in touch with roadside assistance.

Trailer Sway Control Light

Trailer Sway Control will use your vehicle's brakes to help reduce the side-to-side motion of a trailer you are pulling.

If your vehicle has this feature, you will see this light when Trailer Sway Control is active.

If the trailer begins to sway, reduce vehicle speed by gradually removing your foot from the accelerator. Then pull over to check the trailer and vehicle to help to correct possible causes, including an improperly or overloaded trailer, unrestrained cargo, improper trailer hitch configuration, or improperly inflated or incorrect vehicle or trailer tires.

Security Light

(If Equipped)

If your vehicle has a theft-deterrent system, this light will flash when you start your vehicle. It lets you know the system is working.

Cruise Control Indicator

Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) Indicator

Keep in mind that the cruise control does not replace the driver and it is still important to be cautious and attentive to the surroundings when using the cruise control or adaptive cruise control for speed adjustment.

Cruise control Indicator

It illuminates when you switch the system on and define a cruise speed.

If you see this in white, it means cruise control is ON, but you haven't set a speed yet.

If you see this in green, it means cruise control is ON and you have set a speed.

You can turn the cruise control OFF using your steering wheel controls.

Adaptive Cruise Control Indicator

It illuminates when you switch the system on.

It illuminates white when the system is ON but you haven't set a following gap (the distance between you and the vehicle ahead of you that you want ACC to maintain for you.

It illuminates green when the ACC is active and maintaining a following gap for you.

You can turn the Adaptive  Cruise Control OFF using your steering wheel controls.

Adaptive Cruise Control Curve Speed Control Light

If you see this icon in green, it means ACC is actively controlling your vehicle's speed and detects a sharp curve on the road ahead. 

ACC will automatically slow your vehicle down while going through the curve and may accelerate out of the curve, but it won't go faster than your ACC set speed. Continue to be ready to take control of your steering even when this system is active, as it does not replace the driver.

Vehicle Ready Light

This light lets you know your vehicle is ready to be driven.

Driver Attention Assist Light

(If Equipped)

Depending on how drowsy the system detects you are, you may get the following alerts:

Level 1: You are aware you are tired and need some effort to keep awake (playing music, rolling down the windows,...)

You will see a yellow coffee cup icon in your cluster display and hear a chime or feel a safety alert pulse.

Level 2: You are showing signs of severe exhaustion and are fighting to stay awake or drifting in and out of sleep.

You will see a red coffee cup icon in your cluster display and hear several chimes or feel several safety alert pulses.

You will see options asking if you would like to take a break, call a friend or navigate to a nearby point of interest.

You may also see this icon that looks like a pair of closed eyes. This means you’ve turned the system off or it’s not working properly.

Automatic Vehicle Hold (AVH) Icon

 (If Equipped)

This icon lights up green when AVH is actively holding your vehicle in place. It will turn ON if you press the Auto Hold button in your vehicle or center display.

You can press the button once again to make the icon disappear, meaning the feature will stop holding your vehicle in place.

It illuminates to confirm when the system is ready to assist.

This system automatically adjusts the headlights between high and low beams depending on the lighting conditions and the presence of other vehicles. However, if you prefer to control the high beams manually, you can disable the automatic feature through your vehicle’s settings or controls. 

If you see this icon in blue, it means the system has turned ON your high beams automatically.

Direction Indicator

Direction indicator. It flashes when you switch the direction indicators on.

If you notice that one or more direction indicator lights are not working, use hand signals to indicate turns and try to resolve the issue as soon as possible.

Front Fog Lamp Indicator

It illuminates when you switch the front fog lamps on.

Designed to illuminate the road immediately in front of you in foggy, rainy, or snowy conditions. They produce a wide, low beam of light that helps improve visibility in situations where regular headlights may cause glare or reflect off the fog, rain, or snow.

When you turn ON your high beams, your fog lamps should turn OFF automatically.

If you want to turn fog lamps OFF, you can find the fog lamp button on the control panel to the left of your steering wheel. The button will be marked by the same icons as the warning light.

Hazard Flasher Indicator

It flashes when you switch the hazard flashers on.

Both the left and right turn signal lights will begin to blink simultaneously, alerting other drivers to your presence. This is particularly useful when your vehicle is stopped in a hazardous location, such as on the shoulder of the highway, in low-visibility conditions, or during a traffic stop.

High Beam Headlamp Indicator

You will see this icon on your instrument panel when your headlights have changed from low beam to high beam lights. Your beams are turned on when you push your turn signal lever away from yourself.

High beams provide maximum illumination of the road ahead, making them particularly useful for driving at night or in poorly lit areas. However, they should be used responsibly, as they can blind other drivers if not adjusted properly or if used when there's oncoming traffic.

You can turn OFF your high beams by either pushing the turn signal lever away again or pulling the lever back toward the steering wheel.

The color blue helps to distinguish the high beam status from other dashboard lights. 

Lamps ON Reminder Light

It illuminates when you switch the low beam headlamps or the side and rear lamps on.

This light serves as a reminder that the vehicle’s lights are active, which is especially useful if you've left the headlights on after turning off the engine, helping to prevent the battery from draining.

 You should turn OFF all lamps when you are not using your vehicle. You can set your exterior lamps manually.

Depending on your vehicle, you can adjust your exterior lamps settings with a knob to the left of your steering wheel or turn them OFF using your signal lever. For other vehicles, you can access these settings digitally using the Infotainment system.

AUTO will automatically turn your exterior lamps OFF and ON depending on outside lighting.

The power button icon can turn the exterior lamps ON or OFF.

The lamp icon will tun ON all exterior lamps except the headlights.

The headlight icon will turn ON all exterior lamps including headlights.

Adaptive Forward Lighting Warning Light 

(If Equipped)

This light will illuminate when there is an issue with the Adaptive Forward Lighting System.

Possible causes for this warning light can include:

• Faulty sensors or actuators in the adaptive lighting system.
• Electrical issues or wiring problems.
• Software glitches requiring a system reset.
• Physical obstruction or damage to the headlight units.

Can I still drive with the Adaptive Forward Lighting Warning Light ON?

You can still drive, but keep in mind there will be no automatic adjustment of the forward lights.

It describes the drivetrain mode your vehicle is in.

On properly equipped vehicles, you will see this light if your vehicle is using four-wheel drive. Some vehicles can change between two-wheel and four-wheel drive depending on your vehicle's settings and the terrain you are driving ON. Not every vehicle has four-wheel drive.

On AUTO mode, your vehicle will detect when you need to change to four-wheel drive automatically and change back when you no longer need it.

If you manually adjust your drivetrain settings and you want to shift out of four-wheel-drive mode, then use the control panel to the left of the steering wheel and press 2↑ for two-wheel drive.

4-Wheel Steering Icon

(If Equipped)

This light will appear in orange / amber if the system is turned OFF.

Its main function is the enhancement of handling, maneuverability, and stability at different speeds:

• Low Speeds: The rear wheels turn in the opposite direction of the front wheels to reduce the vehicle's turning radius, making it easier to navigate tight spaces and park.
• High Speeds: The rear wheels turn in the same direction as the front wheels, which improves stability and cornering performance.

Tow/Haul Mode Indicator

You should activate Tow/Haul Mode when you're towing a trailer or carrying a heavy load, especially when driving in conditions like steep hills, heavy traffic, or when you need better control of the vehicle's speed.

It helps prevent the vehicle from over-revving, improves the handling of the load, and reduces wear on the brakes and transmission.

• Automatic Deactivation: In most cases, Tow/Haul Mode will remain active until you turn it off manually, even if you are no longer towing or hauling. However, some vehicles may deactivate the mode automatically once you stop towing.
• Manual Deactivation: To turn off Tow/Haul Mode, simply press the Tow/Haul button again (usually located on the gear shifter or dashboard), and the indicator light should turn off. The vehicle will return to its normal driving mode.

Air Ride Adaptive Suspension Icon

 (If Equipped)

Lets you adjust your vehicle's height slightly based on driving conditions. Some vehicles will automatically adjust the ride height in certain situations. Not all vehicles are able to adjust the ride height.

1. You will see this light when your vehicle is at its maximum height.

2. You will see this light when your vehicle has been raised above its normal ride height

• This light will appear in green if the vehicle is actively changing its ride height.

3. You will see this light when the vehicle has fully lowered its ride height. Depending on your settings, your vehicle may do this automatically to make it easier to get in and out of the vehicle.

4. You’ll see this light when the vehicle has lowered its ride height.

• This light will appear in green as the vehicle is changing its ride height.

5. You’ll see this light when the vehicle’s ride suspension is in Service Mode or Alignment Mode.
