1. First, the color tells you what to do
Whatever the symbol, its color is your first and most important clue. Before you look up the exact light, this is the rule of thumb:
🔴 Red — stop when it's safe. A red light means something needs attention before you drive on, such as engine temperature, oil pressure, or the brakes. Find a safe place to pull over, switch off the engine, and get in touch with us before continuing. Please don't ignore a red light.
🟠 Amber (yellow) — caution, get it checked. An amber light is a heads-up rather than an emergency. You can usually keep driving, but take it steady and have it checked soon — get in touch and we'll advise. Some amber lights (like tyre pressure or AdBlue) have simple fixes.
🟢 Green or blue — information only. Green and blue lights simply tell you something is switched on or active — headlights, indicators, cruise control, main beam. Nothing to worry about and nothing to do.

💡 Tip: Each guide groups the lights by color, with the red "stop" lights first — so you can jump straight to how urgent yours is.
