Sometimes, items are accidentally left behind after your trip. Here’s a quick guide on how to report and recover lost belongings with Indie Campers.
Indie Campers Bookings:
1. Reporting a Lost Item
To begin the process, fill out our L&F form with as much accurate information as possible. The more details you provide, the better our chances of finding your item.
Search and Response Process
- Item Found: If our depot staff have already found your item, Indie Campers will contact you via email to notify you (step 2)
- Search in Progress: If the item hasn’t been found yet, our depot personnel will search for it.
- Item Located: If the item is found, you will receive a confirmation email along with options for recovering your item.
- Item Not Found: If the item is not found, you will receive an email informing you of this.

2. Choosing a Recovery Method
Once your item is found, you must confirm how you’d like to retrieve it by replying to the email:
- Self Pick-Up: If you choose to pick up the item yourself, Indie Campers will provide you with the contact details and available pick-up hours at the depot.
- Shipping: If you prefer shipping, Indie Campers will create a quote for the shipping cost and email it to you.
3. Payment for Shipping
If you opt for shipping:
- Make Payment: You’ll need to confirm the charge to your account of the communicated amount of the quote, if its not possible to charge the card in the account the support team is able to provide alternatives
- Desist from Shipment: If you decide not to proceed with shipping, your item will be kept at the depot for maximum duration of 6 month. After 6 months, if the item is not picked up, it may be donated (if applicable).
4. Shipment Process
Once payment is confirmed, Indie Campers will ship your item to your address. You’ll receive the shipment tracking number via email.
