How do I respond to a booking request, and how much time do I have?

Responding to a booking request

All the information about your bookings appears in your Host Area under "Bookings."

When a Traveller makes a booking request, you'll receive an email informing you about it. The Traveller can also contact you via chat and leave you a message. You can find this chat in your Host Area, at the bottom of each booking request.

Once you receive a booking request, you can accept or decline it directly.

Once you receive a booking request, you can accept or decline it directly. Before accepting, make sure to review the pick-up and drop-off times, your expected earnings, the Traveller's travel plans, and the dates. If everything looks right, you're free to accept.

Your 24-hour response window

You have 24 hours to reply to the Traveller and accept or decline the booking request. If you don't respond within that time, the request expires automatically and is declined, and the Traveller will move on to look at other vehicles.

Responding quickly helps Travellers plan with confidence, and it makes for a better experience on both sides. Your response time and response rate are shown on your Host profile, so replying promptly, even with just an initial answer while you check the details, helps keep both looking strong. If Booking Requests are regularly left unanswered, your listings may be temporarily removed from search results, so that Travellers reaching out elsewhere can count on a timely reply.
