Every booking with the Indie Campers fleet comes with a core set of things as standard. Beyond that, you can tailor your trip with optional paid extras — bedding, a kitchen kit, camping gear, and more. This article covers what's included as standard, what's a paid extra and how to add it, and how it works differently for Marketplace bookings.
Included with every Indie Campers rental
These come as standard, at no extra cost:
- 24/7 Roadside Assistance throughout your trip.
- Online Check-in before pick-up.
- The campervan and its standard fitted features. Exactly which features are built in depends on the model — you can see the standard features for any van under "Included Features" on its offer page.
- An electricity cable for recharging the campervan.
- One pair of keys. Only one pair is issued at pick-up; if they're lost, the key-recovery process is arranged at your expense.
- If your van has a toilet, a chemical separator is included; if it has a fresh-water tank, a water hose for refills is included.
Paid extras you can add
Extras are optional add-ons. You can add them during booking, later through your Client Area, during Online Check-in (available closer to pick-up), or at the depot — all subject to availability.
A few things to know:
- All extras depend on availability at your pick-up location. Some (like snow chains, surfboards, and wetsuits) are only offered at selected depots. During booking you'll see exactly which extras are available for your pick-up point.
- If you pre-booked an extra and it isn't available at check-in, we refund the exact amount you paid for it. That refund is settled at the end of your trip through the Account Closing Process.
