For Indie Campers Fleet:
Included Van Features:
1. Front Air Conditioning & Heating
All our campervans come with air conditioning and heating systems in the front of the vehicle. These systems are powered when the engine is on and while you are driving and will not work when the engine is off.
2. Independent Heating Systems
Indie Campers fleet are equipped with stationary heating, with the exception of Adventure models, which feature a rooftop tent. In Australia, New Zealand, and North America, the heating system runs on propane, while in Europe, it operates on either propane or diesel. Propane storage varies by region: North American vehicles feature a fixed built-in LPG tank, whereas vehicles in Australia, New Zealand, and Europe use propane gas bottles. For European vehicles equipped with diesel heating, the system draws fuel directly from the vehicle's main fuel tank. You can easily check availability for specific models under the 'Included Features' section on our website.
3. Independent Air Conditioning Unit
Stationary air conditioning is available in most vehicles across our North American, Australian, and New Zealand fleets to ensure comfort in warm climates. In North America, the system can operate off-grid via the vehicle's 110V setup, powered by either a fixed generator (drawing fuel directly from the RV's main fuel tank) or a portable generator (equipped with a separate fuel tank). In Australia and New Zealand, however, the air conditioning requires a direct shore power connection to operate. You can easily check availability and specific features for each model under the 'Included Features' section on our website.
Heating as an extra:
Portable Electric Heater (Indie Campers)
If your host is Indie Campers, you have the option to add a portable electric heater. This extra works with 220V sockets in the relax area of the van when the camper is plugged into an external power source.
Here is how you can add a portable heating: To check if your campervan has an independent heating system, visit the "Included Features" section on our website. Here’s an example of where you can find this information:
