Yes, but it depends on your van's gas system and where you're travelling.
Independent gas bottles can't be refilled. They must be exchanged for a full one at a supermarket, hardware store, or campsite.
Gauge or fixed tank systems can be refilled directly at a petrol station with an LPG/Autogas pump.
Availability also varies by region: in North America, both refill and exchange are widely available, at gas stations, truck stops, and hardware stores like Ace, Tractor Supply, or Canadian Tire. In Australia and New Zealand, refilling at petrol stations and stores like BCF or Bunnings is common. In Europe, exchange is far more common than refill.
Note for Europe: gas bottle connectors differ by country, and only a few share the same fitting (e.g. Belgium, Germany, Netherlands, Austria; or Spain and Portugal). If your trip crosses into a country with a different connector, your exchange bottle may not be compatible there. We recommend pre-purchasing a full spare bottle before crossing the border, rather than relying on finding a matching one along the way.
