For Bookings in the EU & UK: Models with Built-in Cookers
- Campervan models in the EU come equipped with gas cylinders, typically ranging from 5kg to 10kg of propane or butane, depending on the model and location.
- Gas connections and cylinders differ between countries. This means you may need adapters to refill gas during your trip, which are available at your own expense.
- Indie Campers provides at least one (1) full, sealed gas cylinder at the start of your rental. If you use this cylinder, you will be charged according to the rates specified at the time of booking.
For Bookings in the USA: Gas Tanks with Gauge
- Campervans in the US come equipped with a gas tank, which has a gauge to monitor gas levels.
- If the vehicle is returned with less gas than at pick-up, you will be charged $25 for each ⅓ tank missing.
- To avoid additional charges, please refill the gas tank before returning the vehicle. This policy ensures the vehicle is ready for the next traveller.
Models with Portable Cookers
- For campervans with portable cookers, Indie Campers provides one (1) full disposable propane canister (220g) at the start of the rental.
General Information
- Gas supply limitations: In some cases, local gas supply issues or government restrictions may prevent us from providing a gas canister. In such situations, Indie Campers is not responsible for the lack of gas supply.
- The traveller is still entitled to buy more disposable canister or cylinders in the extra section during booking confirmation or at any time thought Client Area. Please visit Self-service: Manage Your Booking: Modify Drop-off, Extras or Cancel a booking
- Adapters: Please note that gas adapters and cylinders provided by Indie Campers should not be exchanged for foreign ones. If this occurs, a fee will apply. If you need an adapter, it can be purchased at your own expense.
