Operating your Gas:
The gas in your motor home powers four main things. Cooking your meals on the stove, warming the water for your shower and kitchen, heating the living area, and fridge to keep your food and drink fresh.
Your gas compartment can hold up to two gas bottles inside. Make sure the gas bottles are well secured in the gas compartment.
Steps on how to operate the gas:
1. To connect your gas bottle, use the hose, plug it in, and turn it counterclockwise because gas adapters work differently from normal screws.
2. After making sure that the hose is connected and screwed in, you can now open the gas valve.
3. After opening the gas bottle, press and hold this black button for approximately 5 seconds. This is the hose rupture protection reset button.
It opens the safety valve inside the hose and allows gas to flow from the bottle towards the regulator and the vehicle's appliances.
4. If your vehicle is equipped with a gas crash sensor and it is activated, the yellow reset button protrudes from the regulator.
Vibration or impact can sometimes activate the sensor. To reset it, keep the vehicle leveled and press the yellow button in. If the button comes back out, reposition the vehicle on leveled ground and try once more.
If it still does not remain in position, do not force it. Close the gas cylinder and try again.
Reminder:
- Do not store anything in the gas compartment and make sure that the vents are never covered.
- Always turn off the gas when you're driving the motor home or not in use.
- For peace of mind, it's always best to travel with two full gas bottles. Because gas fittings and adapters vary from country to country, finding a compatible replacement on the road can be difficult.
Operating your Gas Stove:
Your motor home is equipped with a gas stove with two burners. To operate them, make sure the gas bottle is installed and the gas is open.
Steps on how to operate the Gas Stove:
1. Before operating your gas stove, check if the windows are open. The glass lid is equipped with a safety switch, so the gas burner will only operate if the glass is fully open. Take care not to close the glass lid while the burners are hot or still operating.
2. To operate the gas burners, select the knob, press it in, and turn it. Make sure you hear the gas coming out and press the ignition button. Maintain it. Press for a while and then you can just release it.
3. Make sure that the individual cut off gas valves are open. They must be in the vertical position. Each individual gas shut off valve has its own function.
- The first one is for the fridge.
- Second is for the gas stove.
- The third one is for the air heater.
- The last one has no use.
Troubleshooting: Gas and Stove
1. Always make sure that the gas bottle is full and the gas valve is open in the gas compartment.

2. Check if the Truma safety gas switch is activated.

3. If the gas bottle was replaced, check that the gas hose safety button is pressed for five seconds.
4. Another recurring problem is that the flame sometimes does not fix when you let go of the knob. This is because you need the system to heat up to fill the flame and only when you let it go, it stays on.
5. Another common issue is pressing the PZO ignition, but the light doesn't ignite.
In this case, make sure the control panel is on and turn on this button. If the issue persists, better to use a lighter or matches to light the flame.
