Traveling with a campervan is a dream come true to many, but every once in a while there are complications along the way. As hard as we fight against this, there’s always a small chance that a traveler might cause damage to your Campervan. If this happens, here are the steps you should follow:
For Hosts that use Indie Campers partner insurance:
If you are a host that uses our partner Insurances: Nationale Nederland, Riverside, Omocon, Vadouise. Send the following documents to rentmyrv@indiecampers.com:
- Rental Agreement: Check-in & Check-out forms
- Accident/ Police report: In case of an accident with a third party, theft, or another event that involves insurance, Travellers should contact the police and make sure to get a police report to send to our claims provider and the host.
- Provide photos and other details: as always with damages, take photos and include these together with a description to support your damage claim. Also, add contact details of all people involved and possible witnesses if applicable.
All claims must be reported within 5 days after the check-out date.
For Hosts using their own insurance:
If you are a professional host using your own insurance, Indie Campers is not involved in your damage and claims handling process. Although we have quality standards, and we might intervene if a traveler believes he was wrongly charged. Keeping this in mind we ask you to, always be clear, and present all the relevant documentation to the travelers.
