You'll also find suggestions in your Client Area once your trip begins.
A campervan trip is a little different from a normal road trip, though, and a few things are worth thinking through before you set off:
- Plan shorter days than you would in a car. Campervans are slower and driving one is more tiring, so it's easy to overestimate how far you'll get — leave time to actually enjoy the stops.
- Think about where you'll spend each night. The rules on where you can park and sleep vary from place to place, so it's worth reading up on overnight stays and whether to book campsites ahead.
- Map your water and waste stops. You'll need to refill fresh water and empty your tanks every few days; apps like Park4Night list these.
- Check your route suits a larger vehicle. Watch for low bridges and narrow old-town streets, keep an eye out for low-emission zones in city centres, and remember the campervan is for paved roads only.
- Going by sea, or heading to an event? Ferries are best booked ahead, and some festivals and events have their own restrictions — worth checking early.
Plan for those, and the rest is just the open road.
