Truma Heater panel CP Classic (3X Blink). Step-by-Step Guide to Fixing the Window Sensor Error

Models where it applies: Nomad / Nomad Ivy

Issue Description: Your heater includes a window switch which prevents the heater from starting up if the side window above or right next to wall cowl of your heater is not completely closed. This typically occurs when the sensor fails to detect that the windows are closed.

Please check that the window in question is locked when completely closed.

Steps to Resolve:

  1. Locate the Window Sensor: Find the window sensor located near the inside table, on the side opposite the Truma Heater. Identify the tiny black box which is the sensor itself.
  2. Please check that the window in question is locked when completely closed and is activating the sensor.
  3. If issue persists, place a small, firm object such as a piece of folded paper over the sensor area to apply continuous pressure. This can help the sensor detect the window as closed.
  4. Check the Panel Indicator: After adjusting, look at the TRUMA panel. If the error code is gone, the error is cleared.

Note: If the TRUMA panel continues to display an error after following these steps, please type "talk to an agent" in the WhatsApp conversation.
